first you need to enable file sharing on the computer you want to access the file on. (right click on the folder, and share folder) If you have a firewall you need to make sure the accessing computer is allowed. (firewall on the source computer can block it)
When you have the folder the file is in is shared, all you need to is type \\xxx.xxx.xx.xx. (the ip of the source conmputer) windows searches for shared folders and reurns it to you, if you want to be able to put files into it, you need to allow tick the allow network users to change my file.
