You have a charging problem as well as the battery. If the battery is over 5 years old, charge it fully. Take the vehicle to your local service center & have the battery & alternator load tested. Meaning the battery is disconnected & a 100+ amp draw is placed on it. The voltage is checked while under load, should stay over 12V while under load. If battery checks OK, then it will placed back in the vehicle.

A similar test will be applied to the alternator. At an idle the alternator should produce about 14V. Even if a 50 amp draw is place on the alternator it still maintains constant voltage.

You either have a short or ICM problems. Just do a diagnostics on it and see what codes come up. That should shed some light on what direction to go. Shorts under the dash can be a real pain in the @@@! However, you can find them and fix them!
You could also have a bad cell in the battery and possibly on the cadillac they have a dash light that might flash indicating you have a problem! I don't know for sure because I rarely ever work on a Cadillac and they usually have all the "bells and whistles" so it's certainly a possibility. Without more information or seeing the vehicle it's pretty hard to tell what's going on!
Anyone of the three could potentially drain the battery!
