This is one of those questions that develop in our minds when we are young and trying to come to terms with the mass hormone infusion that is ricocheting around our brains and bodies and is usually proposed by those who are having doubts about their own sexuality and are trying to 'normalise' their feelings. The final proposition normally goes along the lines of: "If we weren't all a little bi-sexual, then we wouldn't have friends of the same sex." which is of course nonsense; if having both sex friends is to be labelled than it would be called 'socially bi-sexual' or something equally preposterous. On a further note, the psychoanalyst Jung proposed that jealousy stems from deep-seated or latent homosexuality as you would have to see the attractive qualities of 'the accused' in the same way your partner would i.e sexually. Does that make jealous men gay? I think not.

I believe dogs are. Too many I know should have been named humper. If that is true with humans...then why when I see a gay couple and I think of what they do in bed, I feel like I am going to vomit. I think it is a sick and perverted behavior and it's the behavior I'm talking about. They might be the kindest or gentlest people on earth and people you would choose to be friends with, but what they do in bed doesn't sit right with me. If your bi-sexual how could you be committed to one person? How could a bi-sexual know what love is about.....when you are that selfish. Who have they been with....are they a walking STD. Anything to please yourself. Instead of calling them bi-sexual....they might as well be called tri-sexual....they will try anything with anybody. This society is going in a downward spiral about as quick as I flush my toilet. I can see that in peoples answers. There will be huge consequences for this...and they are here but will rapidly increase. You don't mess around with God and walk away from it. Anyhow my answer is an obvious no.

Thats debatable. My boyfriend has a theory that everyone is at least a tiny percentage bi- that everyone can appreciate someone of the same sex, even if they don't find that person attractive sexually. (Ie, "Wow, she looks great in that skirt") Being gay or straight is what you essentially are- thats hormonal. Honestly, I think there are very few people who are honestly bi, and have appreciate men and women exactly 50/50. Being bi is a mental thing- its who you find attractive, and what features you can appreciate in another human being. If you choose to act on that urge and make it sexual, thats your own desision, but it dosen't have to be a sexual thing. So many people get uptight about being called bi... just because you find someone attractive dosen't mean that you automatically want to sleep with them! Its just a different way of thinking- you can appreciate someone of the same sex being attractive without it being a 'gay' thing.

A very famous report by the renowned sex researcher Kinsey has your answer. Almost no one is totally straight, or totally gay. Sexuality is not yes or no, it is a continuum. Most people lie somewhere in the middle or on the side but very few are totally straight or totally gay. Also cultural factors may play some role, look at ancient greek or roman culture, they almost were all bi, do you think our genes are much different than theirs?

i heard a theory once that there is a scale of sexuality, some are 100% straight and some 100% gay others fall in the dead middle, true bisexuals! and apparently most people are kinda in the middle of bisexual and gay or bisexual and straight!
never met someone who can prove this though! xx

there is a view of situational sex which claims that certain opportunities transcend sexuality, thus in a prison, normally hetro men may indulge in some homosexual acts. the brain will trigger revulsion based on learning and social norms rather than mere sexuality. growing humanist thought suggests sexuality is learnt. many people who live outside of religious norms experiment.

I think the majority of people have or have had a curiosity about sex with the same gender. Most will never admit it. The problem comes in when/if we/they act on those curiosities. No, I'm not judging anyone. Simply a statement of opinion.

We women are weather accepting it or not...it's just the way we are wired. Just because a woman wont partake in it doesn't mean she can't facilitate bisexuality.

Hope this helps.
