Personally i would pick up Wainwright. He doesnt have the inning pitched problems others might think, up until last season he has been developed exclusively as a starter so he knows how to prepare for a starting role. The kid has nasty stuff and likely slides into the #2 or #3 starting spot with a good defense behind him. he figures to be a nearly K per inning guy...very valuable in fantasy. Hensley is another good option, if your starting pitching is overall pretty good he may be the perfect spot starter. As long as you us him almost exclusively when he starts home games he will give you real good numbers. Contreras is not a good fantasy option,he is by far the oldest of this group and isnt in a contract year (something that has motivated him in the past) and both of the other guys are better K and ERA pitchers (Hensley as long as you dont start him away from Petco, at least early on).

None are outstanding. Contreras is more proven than Wainwright, and Hensley is a journeyman I wouldn't bother with except in deep leagues. Take Contreras but watch Wainwright.

Wainwright has been taken earlier than the others in two drafts I've had, but I've picked up Hensley in both. I would be concerned about Wainwright's innings toward the end of the year, and Hensley has Petco Park and two veterans teaching him.

Clay Hensley. He's in one of the most pitcher-friendly parks out there, and he's been working with pitching guru Greg Maddux. Expect a very good season from him.

Wainright. He's got a spot with some offense behind him. He's got nasty pitches( remember the World Series) Yeah his endurance might come into question but he'll get plenty of wins and K's.
