Why on their DVDs, does WWE have to blur the attitude era WWF symbol, but not the older symbols for WWF? Oh, and aren't those blurs so friggin' annoying? Im watching the Wrestlemania anthology, and I just can't help but be distracted by them. Couln't they have just blurred the F and left the WWE symbol?

There are 2 stories on why only the Attitude scratch logo is blurred and not the old block logo from the 80s/90s. The story the wildlife company gives is because the logo looks similar to their logo (which they look nothing alike). However, most people believe the wildlife company did it to further damage WWE. We all know the WWF became WWE in May 2002. But, WWE did not begin deleting WWF references or the scratch logo until October 2002, right after WWE appealed the wildlife company in court. The Hulk Still Rules DVD, Triple H The Game and other DVD's released in the summer of 2002 had WWE on the artwork of the box, but WWF was not censored on the actual footage. Even the campaign commercial where the WWF scratch logo gets trimmed and becomes the WWE logo is in WWE DVD's in 2002. But after the appeal, WWE lost, and the wildlife company took further action by requesting/demanding that WWE delete any WWF references in archive video and to not use the scratch logo either. So my answer would be that the wildlife company did it to further damage on WWE. Is there a price Vince can pay the company to use the footage without editing it? That has been a very popular question the last few years and nobody seems to have an answer. I would hope someday soon, some kind of deal can be put together because the blurring (especially on the mania anthology set) looks like hell!!

The reason for the blurring is that the WWE is not allowed to use the 1998-2002 WWF Scratch Logo to stop continuous lawsuits from the World Wildlife Fund. That is also the reason why the WWF (World Wrestling Federtion) changed their name to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)

I know its stupid. The dvds were taped years ago and the wwe can't do anything to change the logo so why censor them?

We in India love cricket more than anything else.
Our defeat at the World Cup was devastating for us.
But this is not the end - we will be back
