Dont you agree that today humanity is hardly seen?No tears, no mercy, no respect, no love, no honesty.......nothing that could prove that we are still humans! We are only and only bothered about one thing-how to earn tonnes of bucks and fame! Do we even bother to simply ask our old mother that how's she today&give her a hug?Do we respect our parents, friends&colleagues at their back?Do you shed tears at your relative's funeral? Are we honest enough to tell our parents that we failed even in the silliest test? And I doubt if honest people are still walking on earth!

Humanity can only be defined as belonging the order Homo Sapiens, such as a tiger can be identified as a tiger since it is a tiger, and also a large carnivorous feline.
What you're talking about are cultural issues. A person's humanity is not easily defined by their public displays of emotion, in fact in some other cultures it's looked down on as a sign of weakness. (In ours as well, to a degree.) It's a common lamentation that our culture is disintegrating, when in fact it's only changing. The thing is that human cultures aren't static, they're in a constant state of change, though it may be small in the here and now, and becomes greater over time. If you were to go back a hundred years or more, there would be little or no public displays of emotion at all.
Furthermore, the pursuit of fame is only present in certain cultures that have the financial backing to have a fame industry. We, in the US, have Hollywood, regardless of the fact that the most famous actors have for the most part the smallest amount of talent and usually pick scripts that make for the most average, unchallenging **** films you could make. For instance, Forrest Gump is an incredibly popular film, it won awards, make a lot of money, whereas Storytellers by Todd Solundz is an unknown. Forrest Gump is a **** film, and most others that get great attention usually are. If you were to compare our society with, say, the San of southern Africa, you'd find a completely different set of values.
In essence, the fact that our society changes and conflicts with viewpoints within it makes humanity far more visible.

To be frank with , I agree, it does pain me to admit this and propably every other person who answer this question, but when you take a long hard look at the human condition it has changed into a rather robotic frame of mind. The one thing that makes us human is our emoitions and they have taken a back burner to coin a phrase to our hectic carrers and social lifes, to our personal greed or hunger for fame. Awfull how the world has changed so much in such a short space of time.

That is something I've been wondering about myself for a long time. I can tell you that I've had the privilege to meet some very wonderful people who freely express their feelings, but there is so much of our hearts that we mask from each other as a whole, as people. The longer people keep their feelings and passions bottled up inside, the worse our world will get. We need to trust each other, open up to each other, share our fears and hopes with each other. People would be amazed at the amount of things we can truly help each other with and learn about each other if we just open up! We are all human and we are more alike than many people realize. Great question!

Unfortunately, yes, we are still humans.
What you refer to as humanity is an imposed set of mind, that emerges out of guilt. Something almost divine.
But what really makes us humans are all the things a good person would fight against.
From the early beginnings of the hominid family, we've been characterized by disrupting the natural balance of the world by killing everything around us.
So you see, if we were truly "human" as you define it, we wouldn't really be humans :(

Sad to say, but you are so very right!! Humans have become extremely self-centered and are sporting around this "everything for me and f*ck you" attitude. We have become selfish, self absorbed people....how and why I do not know. Perhaps we are all losing sight of the fact that we are spirits that inhabit a human body, not humans with a spirit. We have lost our belief system and it is breaking down our moral fiber. A shame, really.

hmm, i bet if you go around the world and ask you might get different results. Yeah I don't doubt there are many things that have taken priority today but we all do need our basics. Family and friends and a purpose. We're still human no matter how blinded we have all become.

"Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s."
It takes all the sons who fell, to form God the Father; so we are gathered together one by one into that same body which fell into humanity. And from humanity, God extracts himself individually because we are all so unique. No one can be duplicated or lost, because God is buried in all and God is redeeming himself.
To try to make this world a nice, sweet little place in which all are happy and have enough to eat and drink is fine, but that hasn’t a thing to do with the mystery of Christ. Were there no struggle, no effort would be made to awaken from the dream of life. Rather, the sleeper would fall deeper into sleep.
So, let them march along telling the world how to become good and kind. It’s all nonsense, for as long as man wears the garment of the animal he must express it. Taking from himself the heart and mind of Love, God took upon himself the body, heart, and mind of the animal, as told us in the 4th chapter of Daniel. This is an animal world, but while in this world of violence Jesus Christ awakes to discover it was only a dream. Were it not that Jesus Christ was in you, you could not breathe, for your very breath is his life.

Hi !!!
Regardless of all of your reasoning, Yes we are still humans!!!
And the only explanation is that, to be human is our nature!!!!
Those who are not showing any humanity is because they have being influenced by the negativism of evil.
Satan and his angels, are working over time, on the minds of those who are weak in faith or those who are worshiping him. Hardening and closing their eyes to reality, greedy and lust as well as bringing confusion to their minds.
All of this is written in the Bible, and the very disturbing truth is that it will get much worst even horrible, scary hurtful, before it will ever get all better, to the way it was intended to be!!!
GOOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE, LET'S PRAY !!!!

We see in the world what we expect to see or what we are afraid we will see if we look. One of the two.
Also don`t mistake humanity for the effects of hormonal secretions in the body which can be influenced by many outside influences such as diet.
