Those seeds you speak of were actually planted in the 80's, or maybe even earlier, but I became aware in the 80's. The present administration is an extension of the "Reagan" administration. If you look back at the changes that were made under his administration, foreign policy etc... you will find the catalyst for this government. There are many who believe that Reagan and G.W. are anti-Christ. Ronald-6 Wilson-6 Reagan-6, George-6 Walker-6 BushJr-6. If you believe in bible prophecy or not is irrelevant. Just look at our present course! If this administration continues to piss off our allies, start wars with everyone, and ignore the cries of its people, say HELLO WW III.

It is a fact that more Americans do not trust congress than the President. That is amazing when for over six years there has been an endless onslaught of criticism of the President in the media, and yet nothing but accolades for Congress.
Congress is what is wrong with America today. It is full of corrupt careerists who seek to line their pockets and those of their big money supporters. There is a litany of ethic issues in congress today that you NEVER see in the press, unless they are republican. Where did all of the Mollohan, Clinton, Jefferson and Reid investigations go? Buried by a supportive congress. There are NO ETHICS in congress as the latest house budget shows. They will trade your money to garner support and see nothing wrong with that.
The problems started long before this President. Corruption in congress is as old as congress and the founding fathers set about guidelines to help prevent those who would abuse their power, but alas this has failed and we need to amend the constitution to once again bring government for the people back into the law of the land.
Voters have failed to remove corrupt politicians.
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money”. Alexis de Tocqueville
Voters are bought and paid for, just look at how many corrupt congressment are re-elected time after time. The only way to correct this is to limit the number of terms in congress to two, and to remove big money from elections.
Americans focus and worry way too much about the term limited President, this is supported by the useful idiots in the media. Americas greatest enemy today is the kleptocracy of our congress and it needs to stop NOW.
“Every democracy needs a good revolution every 200 years” and now is the time, vote against all two term politicians, vote for someone who is yet to be tainted by the cesspool of DC. Even an honest person should they walk long enough there are bound to get some on them.

First off, you've come to the wrong place for an intelligent response.
As far as trust in politicians, that evaporated over 100 years ago. Events like the Teapot Dome Scandal and corruption in construction of the railroads are just part of a long history of abuse of power in the federal government.
Today's politicians use red herrings to gain power then go off on an agenda never discussed with the public. The good-ole-boy system still is alive and well in DC. And, many deals still get done in smoke filled rooms.

I would not say "All" politicians cannot be trusted, I think many people in elected public office are honest, sincere, and genuinely want to make things better. I also think that government is very complicated, and it is easy to have unintended consequences from what appears to be the right thing to do today, yet turn out to be horribly wrong tomorrow. I don't think the current administration is necessarily evil at all, but having to deal with a very complicated problem, one that is more complicated than most people understand (including much of our government!)
An analogy - I see a burning object, and I throw water on it thinking it will put the fire out - the water hits the object, but it turns out to be an open gas can - spreading the gas much further and making the fire worse - my intentions were good, but my understanding of the problem was flawed, the resulting consequences were not something I could have predicted from my experiences prior to throwing the water. Now I have to put a bigger fire out, which takes much more time and effort, however if I don't - the consequences will be far more deadly...

The seeds were planted many years ago,and then replanted
in the late 80's. People are fallible. There are good and
logical people who try their best,
and people that just want the title
and the esteem that goes with it. Sadly, many suffer from the latter, who want to look as if they are the best; but never even attempt to help things go smoothly, or honestly towards
the people, or the individual citizen. (Usually those under the most scrutiny, are those that have tried to improve situations!)

I think we were past the point where politicians could not be trusted years before 2000.
Their game is power and a great many of them will do anything to stay in power.

Yes but at the same time I think we are all desperate to elect someone we can trust. I think that is why so many democrats were elected to Congress, not because the country has shifted left, but more so the country is just ready for change.

forget 2000 because Bush won the electoral college! I am not sure any of our politicians since this country began are ever very truthful. It matters not what party either!

AS soon as they are elected they plan for new campaigns and new money to finance the next election. They are all corrupt.
