I am trying to memorize a poetry deconstrction for tomorrow, and I wish to listen to a recording of it while I sleep.

Is it safe for me to do that?
Will it damage my ears?
What volume level is safe to listen too?
Is there a time limit I should listen to it for?
I will be using standard iPod earphones.

Many question I know, I just dont want to risk ear damage. Many thanks if you can help.

I have learned many recitations by listening to them over and over. ear damage is caused by playing it too loud. you should be able to hear the iPod, but still be aware of sounds around you. 60 dB is normal human voice sound level.
