I found a votive candle holder I just love, but I want to make it to where it will hold taper candles. Does any one know how I can do this or where I can buy the supplies to do this?

You could cut a disc of cork or thick cardboard, or even one of those pads meant to stop chair legs from scratching the floor, to fit snugly into the bottom of the votive, with a finish nail or brad running up through it. Then impale your taper onto the nail and fill in around the candle base with small beads or madeling clay like Play-doh. After your candle burns down, just peel off the stuff and use it for the next candle.

There is an item called a floral taper holder. It is available in the floral section of any craft store. (I'll give you a site to see what it looks like). Cut the pointed end and smooth flat. Glue this holder inside your candle cup. You will have to devise a way to hide it inside. I would suggest a product called Cracked Ice. It is also available in the floral section. This is poly crystals that expand and look like ice, when water is added. Here's the site to look at
