It has become a part of the the English language and I think that people do it anymore without realizing that they are doing it. Their used to be a time when you would never hear swearing on regular television and now you hear it all the time. Our standards have gone down the drain and I feel that it represents the people that we are today, and that's not a positive.

A person who doesn't swear is a bit above the crowd. Always trying to use the proper language without swearing makes a person stand out in my opinion.

to me swearing is just extra words in with your original meaning. With me having 2 young children, I don't exactly approve of it, but then again, depedning on how the word is used it isn't neccesarily a bad thing.If it's used to hurt someone then I would say yes it is. Here in the next generation I'm assiming that our swearing words today are going to be their slang words, and they will invent new swearing words, it's just the generation and how it all gets used.

FK yeah,it helps us express how we feel,as these days not being taught how to express ourselves by our perants,there is only one way of doing so,and not forgetting every fkr else understands what we are sayin or how we are feelin about something when it is used in conversation.
Other than that there is no real reason to use such foul language (not that chickens talk like that) and we have to learn to comunicate much better if we are allowed to learn and if people can be bothered to teach us there are better ways of expressing how we feel.

probably they were brought up in an environment where such swearing was so frequent that it becomes the normal way of life for them and they dont even realise that it is wrong.
some do it to show that they are so called " cool guys"

You can tell allot about a person by the language that they use. If they swear I think their vocabulary is just that low. It doesn't make them look big, tough or smart.

i agree. swearing has become such a norm these days that no one things twice about it. it's kind of sad, because i've even met little children who let out words i didn't even know until i was a teen!

I agree, I try not to. but its a habit, I really swear when I get really angry. sometimes I have to stop and think.
