Pelosi is a corrupt career elite socialist. Nothing she does helps our military, she hates the military and would destroy it completely. Look at her voting record if you doubt it. She has ALWAYS voted against a strong military.

The war is being fought in Iraq, who cares! It's not a priority
The biggest problem that gets America in trouble, is that they are not exposed to the horror that a war is. Even 9/11 was a minor event when diluted by time and important reruns.
Many other countries live the horror everyday, with no money for exotic fish. If you personally were effected by the war daily, the war would be over a long time ago.
Keeping the enemy over there, and not in America is nice. Like having a terminal disease that hasn't been found yet.
I also liked the everyone drafted in a war idea. This would also cut down on wars.

It doesn't. Nor does the millions spent on spinach losses, or storing peanuts. Yes, there is money going for that too. This is the cost of politics in our country and our politicians have people in their home states that own them. Literally. So when the big dog with the wallet barks in the home state, the Rep jumps. Everyone wants to get something, so they use it as leverage when someone one else wants to pass important legislation. Our politicians are sell outs. They do not care who lives or who dies in this country, they do not care if they tax us to death, and they are. They do not care who dies in Iraq or anywhere else. It's the bottom line of politics. And it's global, all countries do this, and all politicians do this. The only thing that can change this is our vote...Remember that.

It's a bribe, and remember, she bribes 2 democrats and 21 republicans. If it takes $$$ to get people to do the right thing, like VOTE to remove our troops from harms way., then let's break out the Fish Eggs, Fish Eye!!

The troops in harms way, because they chose to join, to get college money. they are paid to fight for our government not drafted and forced to fight. Our economies must flourish & that helps pay the troops. So when will you sign up and help our government or your kids or grand kids. Me I'll defend my rights my brothers fought for during the Koran & Vietnam wars and they got pays much less and got screwed out of their VA benefits. My sister is an officer I would hate to hear of he death but she's their because that the way she paid for her college and her life. Hurry for the USA worriers, but I know after you eat and get in that nice bed, all this BS is forgotten and you fall a sleep . wake up and never wondered how my sister or any other slept, now did you

How does Bush's promise to veto any bill put before him that doesn't give him a blank check to spend anything he has to on a war he refuses to make a real plan for, help our troops in harm's way?

It dont. They are trying anything they can to try and get support for their bill. Which wont go anywhere in the senate.
They need to be careful of Lieberman will Crossover giving senate repubs. the true majority. Truth be told senate is technically tied(49-49+2 independants).
The only plan they have is defeat and failure.

You'd be surprised but there are other things going on in America and around the world. and $5 Mil ain't squat to cry about - you could win that in McDonald's Big Mac sweepstakes.
I still haven't seen how four years of Bush mismanaging the war has helped them either.
---------------
A thumb's down? Hardly surprising. Peanuts and Spinach are vital argicultural and economic commodities. Govts around the world spend money on protecting such things and insuring their loss. If they didn't, there'd be famine and economic disaster. Try taking some classes in Civic Government to get an inkling of how a government operates - take Bush and Cheney with you while you're at it.

It's another glaring example of the greedy fringe libs and their desire to promote their own agendas at the expense of the brave men and women dying to allow such wasteful, pork
spending.
