Ok I came across a fraction and I don't know how I would turn it into a decimal. The fraction is 3/8. I'm stumped on this fraction. Can someone please give me an answer and tell me how to do this? Thank you very much!

You divide 3.000 by 8 in the normal way. Unfortunately it is rather difficult to set it out on here.
You divide 8 into the first two digits (30) giving 3 as the first digit of the decimal. Multiply this by 8 to get 24.
Subtract 24 from 30 to get 6. Put one of the zeroes after this 6 to get 60. Divide 8 into 60, giving 7 as the next digit of the decimal. Multiply 7 by 8 to get 56, and subtract this from 60, giving 4.
Put the next zero after the 4, giving 40. Divide 8 into 40, giving 5 as the next digit in the result. As there is no remainder, the process is now finished, and you have your decimal 0.375. It is very definitely a terminating decimal.
