Speaking from a mans point of view...Dont serenade a guy, you gotta do something thats up tempo, thatll get his attention, even a stupid dance will do, if anything, it'll make em laugh and thats the kicker!!!

I would find out what music he is into first. Then find a song that has special meaning to him.
There is no use seranading him with a song that he doesn't like.
It will mean more if it is a song that he likes (but make sure the lyrics say what you want to say too)
By the way...can you sing?
