ok so my best mate is a really big christian and im a lesbian, but we are still extremly close even though she says im going to hell.....

but we were talking the other day and trans people came up and she was like "i really do believe that they were born into the wrong bodys and should be free to be who they really are"

but why does she side with trans people and tell me im burning in hell??

whats even stranger is sometimes i do drag as a man, and i love it i feel so comftable with it, but she seems to just kinda go "thats wrong", or when i ask how i look she goes "i dont like it" and that will be that....

i dont understand y she supports everyone else but not me...
we have been best mates for 9 years...and i wonder if its just her of selfish fear of losing the girl she always knew.... or something deeper?

we r EXREMELY CLOSE we even share cubicles, and sometimes we have.VERY unholy convos.. whats up with that?? she disagrees with my lifestyle but sometimes provoks it

yea just to say, we know a drag queen and all she ever does is swear at him and say she hates him cos its wrong he looks better in a dress than her (only messing around and he knows this) so personally to drags she has ZERO hate or anything, shes extremely open to new types of people....i just cant get over y im being treated so differently...

Since you are best mates, she probably feels a personal responsibility to you where to others the responsibility is only abstract. For instance, my mother will always tell me when I look like sh#t, but she only tells my friends they look lovely (no matter how ridiculous they look). On a personal note, I am a heterosexual Christian and am often confused by the church telling us that homosexuality is a sin and then telling us that Christ forgives all. She probably has some latent confusion as well. It's a tricky, tricky time to be a Christian right now.

Sweetie I can relate, I have a very close gay friend I've known for 15 years and he's not into femmes at all but he always compliments my sisters and tells me it's just not right for me. Not to be a ***** but gees I'm one of the top 10 ready for primetime girls in Seattle.

It really hurts my feelings when he says those things.

It sounds like she's looking at transsexuality as just a medical condition and crossdressers as making a personal choice that goes against her religious text.

With all due respect to you, she is no friend. A friend is someone who accepts you as is, no questions asked, because that's who you are. How could your best friend tell you that you'll burn? The next time she says that tell her only bigots burn.

she sounds a little confused to me. But with that in mind--people do have different feelings and prejudices in their own minds about the way they think the way things "should be".

Who knows? Thats the whole conundrum of these crazy faiths. They make no sense. They are not logical. Guess thats why they are called faith.
