Although I personally would give Thornton my vote, don't we all already know that Crosby is already being molded for this prestigious award? Someone commented that Crosby is the NHL's "poster boy" - that's a perfect label for him.
I think it will be determined by the remaining games of the regular season and how far the Sharks & Pens go in the play-offs. I'm rooting for Thornton. I was so sick of Crobsy by the time the All-Star game came around.....

I've barely heard Thornton's name all season, even though the Sharks are a great team. I've heard Crosby's name a lot more. Sid has basically had the points lead all year and is still the frontrunner for the Art Ross trophy. He's practically unstopppable, and has helped the Pens out so much. I think the chances of Thornton gettin the MVP this year are fairly slim.

I like Thorton over Crosby because an MVP is suppose to make everybody else on his team better. Crosby doesnt, he just steals the show from the rest of his players. But with Thorton, his play making skills make him a true MVP.

Slim to none...Although, his numbers are good...They are not good enough. Or I should say, they are not good enough for Thorton. Crosby will win the MVP for this reason, Pittsburgh was not supposed to make the playoffs...Hell, they were not even expected to be in contention. He carried the team on his back. Now with the city of Pittsburgh staying put for another 30 years, expect Crosby to reign supreme in the NHL. The new face has arrived like it or not.

And it's nerve racking for this New Jersey Devils fan..

MVP WILL GO TO

1st Martin Brodeur
2nd Sidney Crosby
3rd Roberto Luongo

yes Thornton is having another great year but he has a great team. if Thornton was out with injury the Sharks could still make the playoffs. Brodeur, Crosby and Luongo made their teams 10 times better and if they where all out the Devils,Pens and Canucks would not be in the playoffs.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Not very good. While Thornton is a solid player, Crosby has almost had to carry his team throughmany parts of the season. Thornton has a better team with more talent around him so there is less defensive pressure on him leaving more scoring and assist chances.
