1993 Nissan Maxima V6 3.0L VE30DE Power Window Problem.?

Question

the drivers side front window is down a crack and when i try to put it down more i hear the window motor running but it does nuthing, it does the same thing when i try to put it up. i was just wondering what is wrong with it and how do i fix it. thanks

the gears or track drive is probally bad. not real hard to fix if you have some mechanical knowledge. but it will take a couple hours from start to finish.
