The one difference is that humans developed speech.
This gave them the ability to be objective and completely separated them from the other animals.
They probably had better survival skills which lead to speech and technology.

There are many differences.
1-we are the only animal that shows obvious intelligence. I don't mean working together to catch prey or building a nest out of twigs ( things that are better explained by instinct, not intelligence ) I'm talking about high intelligence that makes us capable of building super computers and space ships.
2- We are the only known bipedal mammal
3- We are the only organism that shows a clear distinction between right and wrong, and have a moral code. In my opinion, our comprehension of ethics and morals are what truly set us apart from the animal kingdom. Yes it's true that many humans fail to follow that ethical code. Still, we are far above anything you would see in nature.

Animals don't start wars without a good reason. People start wars on a whim. Animals have the capacity to love without condition. A lot of people put conditions on their love. Animals know how to live and not destroy the land. People destroy the land without understanding they are killing themselves in the process and others.
It has been discovered that animals do have their own speech and are able to talk to one another. Something people need to learn to do.
