usually between 16th and 20th weeks your dr will order an ultrasound....id guess 8 out of 10 times at this ultrasound they can tell you the babys sex....but it really depends on thier positioning and whether or not they can get them to move enough to see....at this ultrasound they will also be monitoring heart rate and measuring the uterus to check for due dates by measurements....they will also measure your babys bone structure to determine that as well as any abnormalties....most of the time these are done externally...but if your bladder is not full enough or if the baby is in bad positions...they might do your ultrasound internally...its a bit more uncomfortable but it will allow them to see what they need to to check your babys health....Rosie

I found the sex of my newborn at 17 weeks, but that was unusual. Usually then can determine around 18 to 20 weeks. It also depends on if the baby is in a position that you can see. The best way is to wait until 20 weeks because they have a better chance of determining then.

This is going to sound a little like old wives tales, but it has worked for me 3 times and for every mother to be that has done it.
Get CRYSTAL Drano...make sure it is CRYSTAL!
Take the mother to be's first morning urine.
GO OUTSIDE!!! trust me on this 1...this is going to smell bad.
pour the crystal drano in a container--not plastic.
pour in morning urine--while it is still a normal temperature.
Don't soak the drano crystals, just enough to wet them.
if the crystals turn a pretty bluish green you got a girl
if the crystals turn brown you got a boy.
If you're far enough along to know you're pregnant, you're far enough along to take this test.
But, if the crystals are a mix of colors, try the test again in about a week and a half.

i found out early at week 20, but i had a 4d ultrasound at 27 weeks that better confirmed the gender, by then you could clearly tell that she was a girl. The 20 week was scan was very vague and it was an educated guess at best..

I had mine Thursday and I was 19 weeks. I have the picture showing that it is a Boy!!! The only problem they had was that he moved, ALOT, and his cord was between his legs and in the way for some of it. Its wonderful seeing the baby and how big he is so far. Its a wonderful feeling.
