is there anywhere i can get really cheap ink cartridges from for this perticular type of printer??

Try getting refills from companies like http://www.cartridgeworld.com/ there are others out there if you do a google search for your area. Works out a lot cheaper but Lexmark cartridges are very expensive.

I suggest throw it away and get a better printer.
