They do have Answer police .
It takes time to catch them .There are millions of questioners .
If it gets bad enough ,Yahoo will just shut down the whole site .
They are not going to go into debt ,just to oversee how we behave ?
There are a lot of pushy religious people on here also that force others to listen to their rants also . Sometimes these amature preachers are worse than the bigots.
At least we KNow the racists and bigots are just very STUPID people .

A forum like this is always bound to create controversies. However for the sake of open forum, all the questions are allowed. Those who question and those who answer has to follow the community guidelines and avoid spam. We are our own moral police. If people choose to be free by asking irrelevant questions, we may Cooley avoid those q &a. It is not practically possible to monitor all this. nagarajan.

Y! does have employees who "police" these forums, and remove ?s based on their Terms of Use (or whatever it's called). The link below can explain more. And no, I don't work for Y!. I had one of my questions deleted once for offering points to the first correct answer in the title of the question (so don't ever do that!).

Because they opened a Pandora's Box that is larger than they can possibly manage, so they ask the participants to do their job for them.
According to their "Community Guidelines":
DO
3. Be a good citizen... If you see abuse, report it.
So...some offensive postings get deleted, but Yahoo seems oddly reluctant to suspend the accounts of people who are consisten "repeat" offenders, whose postings are either intentionally offensive or trolling for trouble.
Go figure...

I agree. A lot of the time they censor stupid things and leave hateful and openly offensive questions and answers there for days. I know they have rules, but most of the time they seem to be applied unfairly.

It seems that harmless questions and answers get removed for some ridiculous "violation" while horrible questions/answers remain.

they only police if someone protests, and then they apply logic that is beyond me, leaving racist crap and pulling stuff that may have the word 's lut' or something else benign in it.

Most are just trolls or kids playing around. Some smart people come here and ask serious questions because they may have doubts / issues with LGBT. These smart people are welcome, even if their views differ. (as long as they don't insult people)
YA policies are difficult to enforce. You can simply "report" the abusers.
