Naw-Ruz is the day of the spring equinox. It starts with sunset the day before and end by sunset. The Bahais celebrate it on March 21st, some communities in Iran and Central Asia celebrate it on the exact date of the equinox, which varies from year to year.

It is celebrated by some communities on March 21st and by others on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox (start of spring in northern hemisphere), which may occur on March 20th, 21st or 22nd.

In harmony with the rebirth of nature, the Iranian New Year Celebration, or NOROOZ, always begins on the first day of spring
