Sparta was a greek city with a fierce and powerful military force. They was in forefront when the greeks waned off the attempted persian invasion.
But the spartan soldiers was also known to live a very austere life. The word spartan or spartanic means livinging in an austere and ascetic way.
But Sparta was ruled autocratically. They also warred the athenians and after many years they finnally won the pelopennossian war.
In the longrun this victory of the spartans meant the end of greek democracy.

Others here have claimed that the troyans moved to near Rome after a supposed defeat by the greeks. But this is mythology and nothing else. There was a people that was called the etruscans slightly north of Rome in the near centuries before or chronology. In first centuries there were still very influential people in Rome with etruscan ancestry.

The etruscans had a language that was very different from the latin and other italic languages at the time. But that they therefor originated from Troy is nothing more than speculation ande possibly hearsay from earlier times.
It could of corse be true but we have no way to know it. They could just as well have been an earlier tribe living in the italic peninsula before the italic speaking people arrived there. Or they could have migrated from somewhere else.

The vikings where pillagers to some extent as others said. But they were also merchants. Europe was closed to the south of the mediterrainian sea att the time because of the islamic invasion of the region south and east of the sea.
The vikings managed to find a trading route to the east by the russian rivers to Constantinopel and from there into arbian "särkland".
There's been lot's treasures found on the island of Gotland in the baltic sea. Treasures that largely contains arabic, byzantic and roman coins. Gotland now belongs to the country of Sweden, It has been danish at times and it has also belonged to the german hansa trading union in the medieval times. There were however no nations in this area at the time when the trade went on.

Edit:
The medieval trading union I mentioned is supposedly called the hanseatic league in english. Sorry I didn't check first.
If you read the link. The city of Visby is on the island Gotland.

Aside from high school football teams?

The Spartans were a warrior culture located south of the Peloponessus, and southwest of Corinth.

The Vikings was a generic term for any Scandinavian fighting force whose longships raided coastlines all along medieval Europe.

The Trojans were NOT Greeks! Their civilization was quite distinct and was located on the western shores of the Black Sea. They were conquered by the Greeks, but the survivors who fled the destruction headed west and eventually began the civilization we now know as Rome. Bit of delicious irony that, as the Romans came surging over the landscape and enslaved all of Greece just a few centuries later.

The Spartans were people who lived in the Ancient Greek city of Sparta, capital of Laconia. The Spartans were one of the most powerful of the Greek states, due to it's ferocious army. The Spartans led the army which defeated Persian invasion of Greece, and later turned against their allies the Athenians in the Peloponesian war and defeated them to dominate ancient Greece.

Viking is a name used to describe the Scandinavian people who raided the British isles in the 8th-11th centuries. They were known for their ferocity in battle, and their superior navy in the form of longships. The explored the world, and settled Greenland and Iceland, and possibly even North America. They also were superb traders extending their trade routes as far East as Constantinople. They were pretty much the dominant military force in northern Europe in the centuries they were active.

The Trojans were the inhabitants of the (semi mythical) city of Troy, situated in Anatolia (modern Turkey). According to legend they started the Trojan war when Paris stole Helen from king Menelaus of the Spartans, which lasted many years and was ended through the use of the Trojan horse. According to further legend the survivers of the destruction of Troy sailed west to what is now Italy and founded Rome.

Archaelogically (and therefore provably factual, unlike the Trojan legend) Troy is believed to be situated near the modern city of Truva (Ilium in Latin) in Turkey, and evidence of around 9 different 'Troys' has been found. Troy VIIa is believed to be 'Homeric Troy' - the Troy around at the time the Iliad (the story of the Trojan war) was written.

The Spartans were a fierce Greek city-state.
The vikings were most likely raiders and pillagers who traveled by ship.
The Trojans were another city-state that "the gods" once favored, but they eventually fell with the famous Trojan horse.

Sparta was a kingdom within what we now call "Greece". Spartans were citizens of this kingdom.

Trojans were from the city state of Troy, on the other side of the Aegean Sea in what is now Turkey.

Vikings were Norsemen who took part in raiding parties (ie. they "went Viking"). The Norse were the tribe who lived in what is now Norway, as well as establishing colonies in England, Scotland, the Hebridies, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland, and Normandy (in what is now France). "Normandy" is derived from the name "Norse". The Frankish King Charles the Fat gave them the territory on the agreement that they would stop raiding Paris.
