yes, just put the XP cd in and restart, then when it tells you that there is already a windows installation delete that partition then make a new one and format in (quick NTFS) otherwise you will be there a while. then it will lead you through the windows installation.
but before you do that I recommend if you have a cd burner at least getting your drivers like network atleast.
you should also try Nlite, you can make an autoinstall with it, you basically answer all of the install questions before u start.
you can also integrate the 170 updates and patches post-sp2

All you need to do is go into your Bios and make sure the first boot is your CD. Put you XP home disk in go through the options and this will reformat your hard drive and install the legal version of XP. Should take about 1 hour, depending.

Insert disk(Win XP) at start up(when you turn on the computer) you will get an option 'press any key to boot from CD' from there onwards do as instructions come written, note that when you come to the format screen, select quick format with NTFS(you can also choose the FAT option), now again proceed as instructed. YOU ARE DONE!!!

Follow the previous suggestions. When XP Home says it sees another version of XP, read the screen carefully, and "Delete" the existing XP partition and re-format using NTFS.
If you get stuck, call Microsoft, they like when people go LEGAL!!!

Unless it's corrupt, the genuine disc will walk you through what you're talking about, reformatting. Everything will be deleted.
