about you as a person, what you did, and how has it impacted, or changed your outlook and attitude about the kind of person you are now?

When my doctors told me I did all could do. I worked very hard throughout my life then was diagnosed with a genetic problem that cut my working career short. It made me feel so good though that someone recognized that I gave my all.
Family has been supportive too but to have a "professional" who knows what you are experiencing (or think they do) tell you you did good is very satisfying to the soul.
I just wish I didn't have to hear it on these terms.

Hahaha, funny story, you know, i dont think ive ever really had anyone say anything really nice to me until yesterday. Someone i hardly know just starts flirting with me so bad, she tells me all of these things, and she was being so nice, and so funny. Something like, why dont you have a girlfriend, a stud like you, such a stud of all studliness. And i have to say, i dont think im even close to being a stud lol. Now you have to know, this girl is beautiful herself, so her in her place for saying that, just felt so good, yeah i know its not much. My ex would write to me, and tell me things you know.. but she would only do it after i wrote to her, told her how much i loved her, all that kinda thing ya know.. and there was one time she surprised me with a letter, and it felt wonderful to read it, ya know, you kind of feel important from that kind of thing, but yesterday, i felt so important just because of this, maybe if the would could lighten up, and let there feelings out a little easier, would life be easier, would people feel better?! i think so!

A previous neighbor and friend commented on how I am a very dedicated mother who always makes time for her children. That lit me up because I do my best for my children - and even my own husband overlooks my work and effort. It made me feel good about myself and has inspired me to continue my dedication to my children.
