What else could I use this for as the laptop is broken but the screein is in perfect order, could i connect it to something else to make it work?

Nope, it's junk. Maybe someone with the same model, who has a broken screen could make one good computer out of the TWO.

On alot of laptops it costs more to get a new laptop then to replace the screen. You could sell it on EBay. Or you could juryrig it to work as a monitor for another computer, but that takes a good deal of work I believe.

Instead thinking to repair it..Trade in your junk one and get new one which i think more appropriate.
