So far I haven't had much luck with internet sites on the subject.
Sure I would love to throw caution to the wind, just pack and try once I got there. But then we all know that would not be the
intellegent way to go. (so sad, but I can dream!)
My background mostly consists of positions in the investment arena. But I have also been in marketing, and when I was a "stay at home" mom I was an entrepreneur until I sold the business and went back to the corporate world.

Also, I would love to find some HONEST information about living there. Costs of living etc. Everything I find seems to be trivial information aimed at the tourists.

I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

Hi, I'm American and live in Italy. Well, you can get a job with a US company and ask to be sent to Italy. That may be difficult, but considering you have a lot of experience in your field it might not be too difficult for you. If you want to work for an Italian company in Italy you will have to speak very good-perfect Italian, and most Italian companies will prefer to hire an Italian who speaks English and not a foreigner who speaks so-so Italian.

Well, the cost is similar to the US...but it depends where you go to live. The euro at the moment is higher than the US dollar....say 1 euro is around ,70 US cents. In the north, where there are more industries and more work, the cost of living is higher. In the south, where there are less industries and less work, the cost of living is lower. For your line of work, I think the best city would be Milan.....it's the capital of the Italian stock market.

Well, I hope I was helpful.
