I would have to wonder if this person is really your best friend.
I would never ever do anything to hurt my best friend in any way, that's why she is my 'best' friend.
The friendship should be much more important than a boy, as there are millions of boys out there, and only 1 best friend.
You know the right thing to do already.

go and bang him ,you will ultimately find out he sucks in bed ,then tell her ,she will give him the boot ,guess what he is all yours ,but remember he sucks in bed .......
