that's nothing~my ex worked but gave a bogus social security number and up until recently had fallen off the face of the planet. He is now under some fool idea that he wants custody of his son after not seeing him for 9 years. LOL! Idiot!

No. I have this horrid work ethic which seems to require me to find a job and support myself..and my family. (*sigh*) I keep trying to get rid of it, but it just keeps coming back.

Don't know where you live, but if you're in the US you can probably go after his state and federal tax returns. If he gets anything back from them, you can get it. Plus, in some states, you can get back child support plus interest and penalties even after the child turns 18, and support has officially ended.

I know people do it to stay on Welfare or unemployment. But, sometimes, the child support ordered by the judge is unfair and the person ca never earn enough to keep out of jail. So if that's the situation or similar, I don't blame the guy.

Some people are simply "losers" Your "ex" seems to fit that category. He may not be working "offically" but I'd be willing to bet that he isn't hurting for money. Do a little "spying". You might just get a surprise.

Yes, I do deliberately stay unemployed. That is what retirement is all about.

No. And if he is getting unemployment then he has to give you some of that I think. Dont worry....he can't go on this this too long, he'll have to start working again sometime.

They can still arrest him for failure to pay. You might want to look into it more deeply. There are loopholes for his kind.
