Yes you can clean your lcd monitor witha wet cloth but better way to do this is by using a dry cloth like silicon paper.

The LCD screen is very porous and you can cause a lot of damage. Philips do a special LCD cleaner. I've used it and because it is also anti static, stays cleaner longer.(I bought it from Staples in the UK)

Do not use Windex...or anything of that nature...that is a no-no...you can use a soft rag..like a microfiber one or a very soft hand towel....dampen it with warm water and ring it out really good...then wipe softly not to put toooo much pressure on the screen...than you can wipe it off with a clean dry soft towel or rag!

Use a soft cloth and water. I use the eye glass cleaner I got with my eyeglasses.
