I wouldn't bother personally! I've had Windows XP for nearly a year now & it's fine, by what I've heard of Windows Vista it sill has too many teething problems! Bit like a crocodile with irrevisable gum deseise!!! And I was told not to bother yet by an IT guy at college! Hope that helps. Really, if it ain't broke - don't attempt fixing it!!!

No. Vista is purely extra advantageous in case you have a very rapid computing gadget and a number of different memory. XP is extra stable and all around extra advantageous than Vista. in case you have the choice to get it with XP or a downgrade CD, try this particularly of having Vista. My mom had Vista on her pc and hated it.. she have been given my fiance to place in XP on it particularly. Vista grew to become into certainly messing up her pc and inflicting a number of issues. She hasn't had anymore issues for the reason that she has gotten XP.

Vista isn't any better than XP at the moment. I would not convert yet. If you purchase a new computer with Vista installed be aware that some graphic intensive programs will not work. This is one of the bugs that Microsoft has to fix.

Go to the Microsoft site ,they have a programme to see if your computer can change over to the Vista. But like i advise everyone at this time, wait a month or two before changing to Vista. They still have a lot of problems with drivers and bugs.

If you are going to buy a computer don't by Vista. I would reccomend Windows XP Media Center Edition. It is perfect. Also windows Vista has alot of bugs.

i brought a brand new computer 5 weeks ago and it came with the new windows vista. had lots of problems trying to connect to the internet with broadband. after several phone calls to numerous company's (tiscali, e-machines) i eventually find out windows vista is not compatible with usb modems. i had to go and buy a modem router, which worked straight away. i hope this is of help. i have had no other problems with vista apart from some downloads wont work yet until company's update themselves. vista is great for doing pictures and working with music.

Vista installs from inside XP, so your personal data should be safe, in theory. The challenge is to get your older hardware working, like your printer, scanner, etc.

If your favourite programs aren't available for Vista, kiss them goodbye, too. E.G. Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, etc. may not work.

HINT: Never trust a computer, back up all your personal data first!!!

Before you upgrade to Vista download the `advisor` first. It will check your PC to see if it is compatible to Vista and what changes you may have to make.
I wouldn`t change to Vista just yet, as it is having a lot of teething problems, wait for 12 months.

Anyway download the advisor here......

no it won't as vista uses dx10 and xp runs on dx9 and there are compatibility issues with swapping over... the best thing to do is go to the microsoft web site and download the compatability program then make a decission on the out come of that... but don't believe everything microsoft tell you...
