Hi
Most people tend to have a upper navel piercing just because its the done thing.
There is no reason thou why you cant get a lower navel piercing. Often people who have had them done upper and let them close over get lower ones as you cant re pierce through scar tissue.
Some people have upper and lower done!
Either looks just as good!
It wont matter that you shave in that area. You will just need to be careful not to catch the piercing thats all.... but that wont be hard!
Good Luck!

No problems with the piercing, people usually go for the top because of the fold of skin thats there.
You can't swim for a year, clean daily with saline solution on a cotton bud, keep your fingers away and resist the temptation to fidle with it. Usually heals within 6 months but can take up to a year to stop weeping. Make sure a sterile canular is used NOT a gun there not sterile, use an inert metal titanium or niobium (heat treated titanium to achieve colour)

i have my top part of my navel done and never had any trouble i shouldnt imagine the lower would be any diffrant. you having hair will not effect you being able to be peirced. if you let air get to it and clean it correctly you should be fine ive had mine done now 9 years and never had a problem with it
good luck

Upper naval personally. However, if you do have lower, where your hair grows, just remember to bath the bar or hoop ever now and then to avoid infection.

well, i just think u need to be sure u go to a professional, where the shop is clean & they properly sterilize all their equipment...after the piercing, just make sure u follow all the after-care instructions...i think u`ll be fine!!!
