I heard that while travelling on Emirates airlines, if you are an UAE resident visa holder, then you are allowed to take some extra baggage in Economy class (approx upto 40 kigs in total per passenger). (on Dubai - Hyderabad sector)
Does anyone know this for sure?

Last time I traveled to Mumbai in economy class, but they allowed me only 30Kgs check-in baggage. The dnata staff offered me that they will allow 40 Kgs to all the sectors while reconfirming my ticket. Accordingly I have taken approx 40 Kg. But the counter staff argues to pay for the excess baggage I had a big quarrel with her and finally the in charge gave a special consideration for me. So double check with the airline staff and try to get in writing on your ticket to avoid such situation that I have recently experienced.

Happy journey.

Sorry it's a miserly 20kg allowance for economy - no exceptions for residents. Only if you are a silver or gold card member will they give you a higher baggage allowance in economy.
