Go with big agencies such as storm. Often these agencies have websites, stating whether the books are open or closed.

Have a small portfolio done, nothing too fancy or expensive, showing her true likeness, one of her face, one of her full self, and often a side on shoot should do.

I would also suggest, perhaps placing her into a performing arts class, often agencies will scout these and modelling contracts are often drawn up.

You need to have bags of cash to get into modelling. Firstly you need a solid portfolio of at least 12 different shots - using different lighting etc. Many people get model scouted at London Fashion Shows etc but the many of us who don't have to use agents (who cost an arm and a leg) do you really want your daughter to become like those other catalogue models - thinking she is better than everyone else?

catalogue modelling is very different from other types of modelling.
it also pays the least in terms of salary.
take pictures of your daughter..they don't have to be professional..agencies just want to see how you photograph.
don't know where you are located, but find the most reputable agencies in your area...call them up...all agencies have days set aside for walk in appointments.
bring your photos..and have your daughter dress nicely....wear soft makeup..the agents want the real you to show through.
good luck!!
