What I feel is the book which Sir Woolmer was writing had the relation between Cricketers and Bookies, so a cricketer or a bookie might have done it.

The matter is being investigated and clear picture will emerge only after the investigation is completed. It is not at all fair and correct to jump into any conclusion till clear picture is known officially.

His wife says he knew something bout Match Fixing. Though he was considered as good natured man still his relations with some players were not so good.
