actually yes this can happen, what happens is a stretch mark has really thin skin where the mark is. When it trys to stretch out more it rips because the skin gives out. It is painful and leaves scares. I have a friend that has a disease and she has this problem. She got really big and had to loose lots of weight. Its sad, but its true that stretch marks can rip open and bleed, leave painful, hurting, sometimes infected blisters.

No, the skin is very pliant. With obesity, the skin simply continues to stretch. The only case I've ever seen in which the skin actually split was a snake bite. The area around the bite swelled so rapidly that it caused the skin to split.

dont think so, it would be quite funny though. it would get rid of a lot of fatties and make more room for normal size people
