OK firewalls are a good Idea if your a It pro if not your relay in for more trouble then its worth. The most likely reason why your having trouble with your connection is that you have two or even three fire wall in the same system. IE your hub has its firewall, windows has a firewall, and what software your using has one as well. Think of it as having 3 or for deadbolts on a door. One will do just fine.

Firewalls are intended to limit your access to the Internet. Do you relay want your access limited? If your serving content on the Internet directly from your PC their a good idea otherwise firewalls are simple repetitive and frankly paranoid.

Hi , firewalls can be your best friend our your worse enemy, I will not have a pc online with out a firewall, yes it is probably the firewall if you aren't familiar with firewalls then it can be a pain, first of all dont use Nortan firewall, nor Mccafee , if u r a beginner with firewalls the best one out there is Zonealarm, any way in ur settings u can select particlar websites to block some r done automatically depoending your firewall, step 1 disable that particular firewall and then try works then the firewall was the problem try goin the ur firewall settings set this site as trusted. may want to adjust the security measure, to medium , i persoanlly leave mine on high but i know what to aloow and what not to allow, but my friend i recomend getting a firewall on all your pcs, or least on ur networkl of computers, if you are goin out for a week leaving your home , do you lock the front door and back door? be kinda stupid not to lock both though huh? well on computers a antivirus only protects agaisnt viruses, so the front door is locked but hackers come in thru open ports etc.. thats what a firewall does it locks the back door. antivirus protects from viruses firewall can block that certain hacker from coming in and some viruses that come in thru open ports etc.. thats the easiest way i can put it. good luck..

firewalls are always a good idea for protecting your system,
the fact you cant access certain things is most likely due to the firewall blocking the programs/sites that have not been given permission to be on your pc.

THEY FILTER BAD COOKIES... IF A SITE HAD SOME BAD COOKIES IN IT THEN IT WILL BE BLACK LISTED AND THEREFORE NOT ALLOWED TO BE VIEWED.... ONLY BAD SITES HAVE BAD COOKIES... OR MAYBE YOU JUST SET THE FIREWALL TO FILTER EVERY SITE...
