yes, Only God deserve to be worshipped.

It is enough if we glorify God and no human. Hero worship is illusion, since every thing changes. God is the only permanent and true principle worthy of worship by mortals.

i dont know what kind of hero you are talking about, if its the folkloric and mythical heroes then you can worship them i see them as saints.
you cant worship super man
