i am planning to go to singapore with my family some time in the hopefully near future and we would prefer fully escorted extended tours, as they are safer and we won't have to plan much.
we also want to go to sentosa(?) island.
any websites relating to my question are greatly appreciated.

Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world, and it's transportation system is world class. Even cabs are relatively cheap. I suggest picking up a lonely planet guidebook and planning your trip around that. The advantage of doing it by yourself is that you save $$$, can stay longer if you wish and do more/less.
If you're travelling with kids, then you have to visit the zoo. Sentosa is also great but a little artificial. The Bird Park is worth a visit too!!!!
If you like food, then you'll have a ball.
