To me, my son has never been a burden. I felt so blessed when I found out I was pregnant! I felt so honored that among so many women (some of which can not conceive), God gave me this priviledge. Sure, I wont deny being a parent (specially a single one, like me) is not easy, but to me is so rewarding watching my son grow, achieve new milestones like walking, teething, and of course, saying "mama".
To me, a baby is a miracle and a gift from God.
Great question !

Babies are a bundle of joy. I think that it's all about perception, though. If the person isn't ready for a baby then that person may see his or her little one as a burden. It's really sad. On the other hand, if the person is ready and is also happy with him or herself they will truly see what beautiful gifts babies are!

I would have to say both. I don't have a baby, but I do have a hamster and had dogs and guinea pigs growing up. They are a burden when you have to change diapers or reprimand them for wrongdoings as they get older. But I would say they are a bundle of joy for the most part because they are cute and I think they make their parents closer. Also you get the satisfaction of knowing you did a good job raising another person. "bring a child up in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it."

When I was pregnant I was scared to death about my life changing. I work the night shift so I was worried about not getting much sleep and never having money again after buying diapers & formula. Basically, I was just scared about being responsible for someone else. Now that my son is here (4 months) I can not think of another time in my life when I was this happy. I have never doubted my decision since.

They are both. Most of the time, they bring you so much pleasure, you wonder how you could have created such a joy.
Other times, it seems, you wonder if they will ever grow out of some of the stages they go through.

In my case, a wonderful addition to the family.
It was really special watching my son grow up, start his own family and give me a grand child.
I have friends and relatives who decided to have no kids.
And they are happy with their choice.
Up to you, bro.

Thae can be either. It really depends on the person and the emotional maturity of the person who has the baby and the mental state of them.

They'd be a burden to me, but may be a bundle to someone else. It's all subjective.

They are both.
My little boy poops, eats, screams, hurts himself, pulls my hair, tries to eat my food, throws his food on the ground.
He also smiles, giggles, looks for me when someone says 'dad', is starting to walk, plays with his toys, lets me take his picture, crawls all over me.
Like you suggested, it probably depends on the circumstances but that's my take on babies.
