Lemon juice is a good natural and gentle bleach for the skin, rub half the lemon on fingers for a good few minutes and then wash the dishes in good hot water with soapy liquid (but not scalding, dont burn). That way you will have clean fingers and sparkling dishes, two jobs at once, Nice !!!

Yellowing of nails can be caused from over use of dark nail polish to smoking. You can put a very small amount of bleach, about a tablespoonful into 2 cups of warm tap water and soak your fingertips in that. Then wash your hands in warm water and wash your hands in lots of bar soap and rinse until they do not feel slippery anymore. You will see quite a difference. Soak your fingers for about 4-5 minutes, you won't need much bleach. If you have hangnails or small cuts in your fingers avoid bleach, use lemon juice instead.

After a heavy night of smoking about 20 in quick succession, my fingers look absolutely horrendous. I hold my fingers under a hot tap and use lashings of lemon cream cleaner (for the bathroom) whilst scrubbing frantically with an abrasive foam scourer. It does the trick but does leave your finger feeling a little raw.
