By Bob Paine "Find a place where you want to live and make a living there." Work is getting more stressful, no doubt, but what is worse is coming home to a place or situation that makes you unhappy.

This is a good question. Work-related stress can be bought on by co-workers or an demanding boss. (My belief) Overall I would think that peoples' lives are stressful because it seems like all we do is work to pay bills so that we can survive day to day. For some people life is a struggle everyday. When I am at work I am always thinking about what I can be accomplishing elsewhere:)

The most important thing is to choose your standard of living wisely. A smaller home, for example, means you can spend less hours at work to pay for mortgage, heat, furniture, etc. Everyone wants a big-*** house for no good reason.

Living well within your means gives you the freedom to say "no, I'm not working overtime this week".

I agree completely!
We need free time to get away from it all! We need time to be on our own away from the worries.. Im only 16, but sometimes i find my self wanting to just scream! I dont really have a chance to get away from it, but when i do i just sit and relax! I personally enjoy my work :P
Its just school that annoys me! Drives me up the wall.. And some other oddities which i wont go into detail about... I guess that the answer is simple, stick at it during school, and get that dream job that you will enjoy!

causes of work-related stress? well, it depends on what your work is and how you love your work. it can be anything from polictics in the office; people bad mouthing you; doing things that you don't even like everyday; trying to earn more to suffice your (and your family's needs); getting paid so little compared to what your work is actually worth... things like that. the list can go on, but it's all a matter of perspective...
