To be 'poker-faced' is hiding your true intention and understanding of the situation! It means that you can lie very well!
If he says that women don't have enough of a 'poker face' to play poker - then he is telling you that women don't lie all that well - but if you are telling us that you beat him sometimes - perhaps you are better at lying than he thinks! But of course - the cards do matter!
I used to play poker with my Mum, Dad and my kids. They used to think that I had a good hand when I laughed - but it was often because I had a hand like a foot! Showing expression isn't always too bad - just make sure that you don't show the same expression all of the time!

I'm not sure that I've ever met a woman who couldn't keep a poker face in that when she says "Yes dear, that was good for me too." Do you know whether she is lying or not? There have been several women who have done extremely well in poker. Besides if you watch any of the big poker tournaments have you noticed how many men wear sunglasses or pull their hat down to cover their face? It's because they know that they don't have a good poker face.

Cyndy Violette has a WSOP bracelet and has won just a shade under one million dollars in her tournament career.
Kathy Liebert has won over three million dollars in tournament play and has a WSOP bracelet.
Barbara Enright is another poker millionaire who has three WSOP bracelets.

The list goes on and on. Sure there are not as many women in poker as men. But this is largely due to sexist men telling them that poker is a mans game, and women are somehow incapable of playing it. It's sad that your boyfriend thinks this way. But there are a lot of sexist men out there.
