Been twice and its fab. I suggest looking at http://www.praguepost.com/ the local paper as this will give you ideas for dining etc. You can do so much by foot and see such more so if you can, I'd avoid the trams - they can be so packed full you can hardly breathe and the ticketing system can be a little tricky. Unfortunatley I'm not in work and don't have the list of places to try for food/drink that I rattled up for a friend however I'd recommend eating away from the Old Town Square as it can be rather pricey. Also, go for a walk up the hills (Petrin Hill - its much higher up than the castle) - the view of the city is amazing and you can check out the mini Eiffel tower, the maze of mirrors and the Stefanik Observatory. The Jewish Quarter (Josefov) should also be checked out and there's a great cocktail bar around there called Bugsy's - a bit pricier than normal Prague prices but well worth it :o) hope you have a brilliant time!

Prague is one of many towns worth-visit and to achieve that you can begin preparing your holiday with hotelbye . Starting with the charming place round the Prague Castle or the Strahov monastery with its outstanding selection and finish with …the complete wonderful city, Prague is just incredible. In Prague you can even visit the little home wherever Franz Kafka labored or the charming Prague Castle gardens from where you could have a distinctive see of the city with its picturesque red roofs. In this city you'll never get bored. In the event that you should go through the spring you will see the spring woods in flower; in the summertime you will see extended dusks; autumn will give you colorful leaves and unique light and in the winter you will like the entire town covered with simple white snow.

Trying looking at expats.cz. You'll have to register I think, but it's THE way to find out what's happening. I've lived in the Czech Rep. for two years and I don't like going to Prague that much anymore because of all the Brits and Americans who visit. But it is a beautiful city and worth seeing.

I went to prague (granted it was on a stag doo ) over a weekend and the best places we found to eat were in the main square near the clock tower, there are a couple with outdoor seating with a kind of tempoary roofing and heters outside, there are 2 main places like this and they are right next to each other and both have international menus.
The local architecture is fantastic and old worldly with spires all over the place, there are plenty of tours and all are good if thats what you like.
There is a quite seedy nightlife if thats what your in to and although afew of our group did I steered away from this so can't particually comment on it.

Its incredible! You will need to find a local paper and look for a restaurant owned by, of all things, a former Indian. It's called Aishwiri's and it is great continental cuisine! Let the know p. mehta sent you!
