i do think that the people who lost there places to live need help if insurance didnt pay out for them or it was not enough . i think that no where else no town or county would allow people to build on a flood plane .
am i the only one who thinks that is just a plain stupid thing to do ?

I think that it was their worst fears come true. Maybe we have to realize, you can't fight Mother Nature. I think that even "cave people" would have the instincts to not make a home after all that again. It's time to move inland. Whether it's our lifetime, or six generations from now, somebody's got to make tough decisions.

Rebuilding in a natural disaster prone area is nothing new- Newe Orleans is just on a bigger scale- what about tornado alley and about 25% of Florida- it seems the same people are getting federal relief funds every year.
While we're at it, what about California and their earthquakes?

i'll bet it was a man that made the decision - men are stupid.
;-)
and women are crazy!

so either way its going to be washed away at some point again - but did it occur to you that most of the houses were built from wood for a reason?
but ofcourse the people left with nowhere to call home need a place to live and they must have their needs provided for.

Just think of the big picture and who's running or pulling the strings in the world today. Does much of anything make a lot of sense today this planet?
