it used to be on site but i noticed in recent years they pull it out of a container of grease & microvave it

No, I used to work at one, and my mom's a supervisor. They keep the meat cooking continally on a flat top grill that kinda resembles a waffle maker, and put it in a plastic container which is held at 165 degrees to keep bacteria away. They shouldnt be microwaving it.

My friend, I'm afraid to tell you that you bought RE-Heated food.MacDonald's doesn't make meat on microwave. they cook it on a grill. based on my experience I can tell you that you went to eat at night and the meat was so cold that they have to Heat it up a little bit so that you can't complain for cold food. They Trick you my friend.

Maybe it was just before close that you noticed this???

As far as I know they are grilled on a hotplate on site.
