I have square white tiles on the walls of my bathroom. Lately when I clean them I have noticed that there looks like a vein going through some of them. It's not dirt and they are not cracked. Does anyone know what this is and why it is happening? Thanks.

That's just the way they were made.

Perhaps you're starting to get mold growing underneath them. I would try a more powerful cleaner, and if that doesn't work, then maybe the room should be tested for mold. I'd bring an expert in, if you're concerned, to make sure that the moisture from the water isn't soaking into the tiles, and making mold grow on the walls themselves.

there is a good chance it may be the compound under it (thats holding the tile on) that is coming through , that can happen sometimes
