okay.. psychological answer would be that the situations, events, the circumstances we grew up in and the kind of exposure we had creates our personality...

but even if two or more people have the same kind of exposure and upbringing, there personalities would still be different.. they might agree upon a lot of things like ethics, religion etc... but there still would be fundamental differences like one might like red, the other might like blue.. one might want to study medicines and the other might have an inclination towards sports etc.. so what creates the fundamental differences? what creates a personality? to be more precise... why is everyone unique?

this question is not about differences in intellect.. rather about differences in human nature.

thank you for your answers.

My reason for this would be that I am this way because I want to be this way and also because for some reason I m made this way.We are different because we are made differently, because we think differently, because all have different powers to think. That is what I feel.Your personality is the way u r.It is created by u urself.Personality does'nt only mean having style or being famous. It is the way u r,the way u make urself think, the way u make urself feel, the way u make people think about urself, the way u make them think what made you 'you'.In short it is all what makes you the way u r.
Hope it was not difficult to understand the fact what makes me unique.......

Honestly a tough question & so all the more tempting ......
What all you have mentioned are the external factors which are fed into the brains of two different people. But then, mind is not the sole decision-maker. Decisions are very much affected & influenced by heart. Now what matters is how a certain event impresses heart because heart does not apply logic.
Two people while looking out of the same window will perceive a different picture depending on how their thoughts kindled their respective hearts. One might see an awesome view to be painted on a canvas whereas the other might see an open area for landscaping because this is how their hearts were touched and accordingly messages were sent to brains which resulted in different behavioural approach.
Award/blame it all on the heart................

Okay, you are not refering to the "psychological" answer here, you are actually talking about the sociological answer. There is a big difference.

I think to find the answer to your question, you would need to examine both sociological aspects as well as psychological. It is the influences in a person's life that makes them who they are (i.e. family, friends, significant events, etc.), however, like you said, how would that explain individuals who grew up in the same household? Well, that's where psychology comes in. We may receive the same influence, however, how we PRECEIVE it will be the ultimate indicater of what we become. For example, I know 2 sisters who grew up with a drug addicted mother. One became a drug addict herself and the other never touched a drug in her life. Do you see how the same influence affected them equally but in opposite ways? I think it is totally the balance of nature and nurture which determines who we become.

I could go on and on about this, but that would inevitably raise even more questions!!!!

I dont think anyone can answer this, because it is not something that is predictable. I had friends who had 2 sons, one ended up a lawyer the other ended up in jail (one went to University the other did not finish high school). They had the same parents same environment and the same opportunities ?? I am one child in a family of 4 (2 boys and 2 girls)...we have different personalities, likes, dislikes, wants, careers etc. (you explain it)
It is just the way things turn out :-)))

I think abt this one a lot. I really don't know! lol.

It's a fascinating question...n I haven't found an educated guess that satisfies me yet.

The closest explanation to bringing me a satisfactory answer---and based on some experiences I've had---is the idea of latent
personality tendencies that were there
before birth---leftovers from our last life.

Those "karmic" tendencies that carry over--
traits and likes, etc. that are perfect n necessary for the individuals growth and learning.

This explanation rings true to me, but
I would still have to say I have no idea why we are
the way we are.

Excellent question.

What you say is absolutely true. Let me suggest an opposite approach. There has been scientific proof of twins separated at birth, living on opposite coast of the US, One brought up with means , the other with out.

Yet somehow , chose similar hair styles and clothes and had the same taste in music.

I believe , certain traits are written in our DNA .
We have a long history. 5 brothers can be all different because they inherit from different ancestors.
While I agree we are effected by our environment, we are what we are from the womb.

This universe is governed by the principle of 'disparities in similarity and similarities in disparity'..... therefore no two things in the universe are the same, everything is unique... not even any two leaves of the same branch of the same tree are totally identical. Hence not only every human being, but also every living being and even each inanimate object is unique and yet there are always similarities too between any two.

The answer is so simple. Our brain capacity. The human body is a complex tool and the most intricate thing that all the science in the world could never recreate is the brain. Its amazing. There are so many functions and little departments and sub departments in our brains that make us who we are. Other animals as well. ie: I have two cats...one likes shrimp, the other hates it. One likes chicken, and the other hates it. Its simple preference that's wired into creatures brains at birth.

you did mention the psycological differences here, but there is also the difference of genes. even if all the conditions are same, the genes would never be same, there would always be some variation. according to science, its genes which give the basic defination of our character and as no two people have exactly same genes then there would be difference in opinion. so in a way even with the same intellect and growth enviromnent no two people can be same, and its really difficult to get exact copy of something once created, especially something as complex as human.

I will tell you about "how to become genius".
In your brain, there is a desire to achieve. Are you not the will to "do good thing"?
Creativity is the will to do "thing you love". You are not a suitable personality for creativity because you are conscious about things. You are dangerously conscious about the past.
You forget the notion of "instance":
In an instance, you can have a great idea which you can't have through laborious research.
