No, evolution is a fact, like gravity is a fact. You wouldn't call gravity evil, would you?
If you really believe in God then you shouldn't be denying his work and following the words of man instead. That would surely be sacrilege, or something.

Current best scientific theory about evolution indicates that it has been going on for millions of years, before Charles Darwin proposed evolution as a natural mechanism. Hence fossil records that show changes to plants and animals over time.
It really boils down to mutation, which natural organisms do, where advantageous changes will give benefits to the life form that has them. If such changes are numerous, over many years and changing conditions, then the less appropriate animals or plants will diminish. This would happen at the same time as the modified plants or animals would more greatly flourish. It may happen that the more original forms disappear, because of natural competition for resources against a more suitable 'opponent'.
It could be that several forms of the the original organism would break away and start to become very different. Perhaps the reason for many different forms of ape-like creatures. Think of Neanderthal man, who seems to have lived alongside homo sapiens, ourselves, in some direct competiion.
Now if God created a changing world, why would he not wish for animals and plants to adapt to be more suitable for growth in it?
If the earth is only several thousand years old, (believed by many Christians) there would have had to be a ton of changes going on, in order to get the vast array of species that we have today. As it appears that only a smaller no. were around at an earlier stage, evolutionary theory in some way explains how this could have occurred - though the time frame seems a bit short!
If someone goes to 'hell' as indicated in the bible, then this would be after the final resurrection of Christ, which I think hasn't happened yet. Therefore Darwin, nor others, might not be there yet.
So overall, evolution seems to be a natural process, going on over many millions of years - seems like the earth is alot older than alot of Christians believe it to be. Darwin, like all scientists, propose theories that seem to be the best fit to the evidence around them. Perhaps you could publish yours?
Good luck! Rob

You're making a mistake here that a lot of people make. The Bible was never intended to refute science. Religious belief and science are not incompatible. When the Bible says that in six days God created all that there is, and on the seventh He rested, the word "day" is used as a literary device. It is not a literal 24-hour earth day. In 2 Peter, Holy Scripture says that for God "a thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years". A "day" in the timeline of an infinite spirit-being such as God could stretch out for billions of years. Think about it - If the Bible actually meant a literal 24-hour day, how would that be measured if the sun, moon, and earth hadn't even been created yet?
My friend, science is merely man's quest to discover how God works. I believe in God, the Bible as the inspired word of God, and I also believe in science, and the possibility of the theory of evolution being true. None of these things are contradictory if you really get into them and study them. Most of the early great men of science were actually very religious people (Galileo, Newton, Gregor Mendel, Blaise Pascal, etc., etc.) All science and scientific method begins with faith (St. Thomas Aquinas). As a starting point you have to accept certain things on faith as being true, even in science.
The Bible is the inspired word of God, but it was not all meant to be taken literally - some of the stories in it are allegories, some are proverbs, some are poetry, and one book is an apocalyptic vision. Treating it all as a literal dictation from God strips it of it's beauty and complexity, and makes it one-dimensional

no its not evil
its just science
you dont have to believe it if you dont want to...but its not a bad idea really. if you think about it, it does make sense. it doesn't question the bible at all
the world wasn't created in 7 days! it took millions and milloins of years. those who feel threatened by the theory of evolution dont understand it or haven't tried to understand it
it does not go against the bible or God at all. God made the world step by step
so...when God said...LET THERE BE LIGHT>>>
BANG!!!!!!! the big bang
when God said 'let there be creatures in the sea>>>>single celled animals appeared and eventually evolved into more complex beings
"let there be animals on land>>>.the water creatures evolved into land dwelling animals
etc. etc.
until we get to man. adam and eve symbolise the first humans. there probably wasnt an 'adam' or an 'eve'
there are many stories in the bible that are metaphors, not to be taken LITERALLY
evolution is not evil at all, and charles darwin was a very intelligent man
why would evolution make us question the bible???its more like"ah ha! i get what the creation story is trying to say!"
not "oh my gosh! they are not saying EXACTLY whats in the bible! ahhhhh!"
it makes you think, yes, but it does not go against the bible
try doing some more research on evolution. its not good to be closed minded if you dont understand somehting.
look it up! do research! there is HEAPS of info out there!
good luck!
God Bless
He loves you!

OH NO! GRAVITY IS IN EFFECT! WE ARE ALL DIRTY SINNERS!
No, I do not think Darwin is in Hell for placing forth a theory that was well researched [although modified a bit since his time, due to finds, and genetics seeing the light of day.] and ahead of it's time.
Of course, you and I have different Hells. I mean, in your hell, good people go, just because they didn't like your gawd.

The Bible made me question God and when I asked God's people, they couldn't give me a straight answer.
If Darwin was soooo evil, why is he buried in Westminster Abbey?

Don`t blame Darwin. He`s only one of the first evolutionists. The theory of evolutionism is much older.
Anyway, you have to choose. Believe evolution or the Bible. You cannot believe them both. They are so different, that they have nothing in common.
The theory of evolutionism questions even the existence of God. If humans evolved from apes, than everything that comes with the world of spirituality is only a tale. It would mean that God is only a creature of people`s mind.
Just think about it. Would God just sit in His armchair for billions of years just doing nothing, only waiting for humans to evolve? I don`t think so.
All the proves of evolutionists are things interpreted in a way to fit their thinking. They first have a theory, than they build proves for it. All the discoveries of archaeology, paleonthology, genetics etc. are filtered. Only those are shown to the public that seem to prove their theory.
Let`s see for example the paleonthological proves of the human evolution. The missing links they present us. Most of them are only a couple of bone fragments coming from one individual.
Come on! I could only believe them if they showed me cemeteries of apemen with hundreds of complete skeletons. But evolutionists like to create species of early humanoids using three teeth and a half of a mandibula!
I think more reasonable to believe in the God Almighty, creator of everything that exists.
If you`re truly searching for an answer, just ask God in a simple prayer to reveal Himself to you. He will.
Read your Bible. And look for a group of Christians who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

How can something observed in the natural world be evil?
What is evil is teaching children the lying cult of creationism and ruining their education and potential by brain washing them with fundamentalist dogma!

As evil, in the biblical sense, does not exist then NO
As for Darwin, he is one of the greatest scientists of all time, and produced a valid explanation of why we are here now.
Also - if evolution is evil, because your god created the world, and Darwin is in hell for describing it .... WHY DID YOUR GOD CREATE DARWIN
