Get a hair straightener! They work wonders. Investing in a high quality ceramic one is my suggestion. I love mine!

Perming your hair would make it super curly wouldn't it?
Try using a straight iron or buy a shampoo that makes your hair more sleek. Getting a perm would make it super curly. Buy a flat iron at a salon for 20.00 or whatever. I paid 100.00 for my CHI & I have moderate curly hair, I get super straight hair quickly. If your hair is very curly, buy a more expensive, better one.

You can get it professionally done at a salon. An at home version is to use a CERAMIC hair straightener. Use a spray on conditioner (to protect your hair from the heat) before using the hair iron.
