My wife is hearing the last few year all kinds of different diagnosis to describe her state of being. It started with BPD, then reactive psychosis, toward being bi-polar and schizo-affective disorder. Last 3 months the therapist mentioned possible ADHD. She is getting insecure about it. What should she do?

My Mother-In-Law does this and I hate it...She is on about 7 different pills from 6 different doctors, she doesnt realize how much money she is paying them to PUT HER ON THE PILLS, she needs to get off of everything and then see what she thinks she needs and stop going to so many freaking doctors!!!
Find out what SHE thinks she has through research and the like and GO WITH THAT, all of the things that she is being told are oppioniated things; I mean there is no 'test' for them (ie pregnate or not...get it?)
Doctors just try to rob us blind and we let them
Just go with your gut on what you think you have and go with it!

ADHD is ludacris. ADHD is something that leads into Bipolar Disorder, so if she has symptoms of one or the other, she might as well settle for "Bipolar" and forget the ADHD. As for the rest, It may take awhile for the doctor to get the proper diagnosis. How long has she been seeing a Psychological Doctor?

YOU GO TO ONE SPECIALIST AND STICK TO THIS ONE...........IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR THEN GET A SECOND OPINION FROM AN EQUALLY SAVVY SPECIALIST...........DO NOT LISTEN TO A GP,CHEMIST,OR ANY NORMAL PERSON.........THIS IS FOR SPECIALISTS ONLY...........AFTER MANY YEARS OF BEING DEPRESSED, MY OWN SON WHO IS 31YRS OLD HAS JUST BEEN GIVEN A NAME FOR HIS DISEASE. (BIPOLAR) AND AFTER 2 WEEKS ON THE RIGHT MEDICATION HE IS BACK TO HIS NORMAL SELF.YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA CHEERS CHEN. OH BY THE WAY GOOD LUCK TO YOUR WIFE. THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER.
